About Michel Children and Youth Filmfestival Hamburg

Michel presents about 8 international children's feature films and animation films for children aged 6 - 16.

It is held in close co-operation with Hamburg's schools, youth and cultural associations as well as social organizations.

In 2003 Filmfest Hamburg established the Children's and Youth Film section. Ever since
it became an important and well-known forum for German and international feature and animation films for children and young people.

Filmfest Hamburg is one of the biggest Film Festivals in Germany. More than 120 international feature and documentary films are celebrating their German, European or world premiere in altogether eight sections at the 18th Filmfest Hamburg. It is an ideal place for international film productions and distributors to present and recommend their films to German distributors.
